“Two thousand years ago the Creator of the universe put on humanity. The Lord of heaven came to live on earth. This child was the Lord Jesus Christ, God and man fused together in indivisible oneness.” John MacArthur
Why did God come into the world in a humble stable, in a small town on the outskirts of civilization?
And why did God send lowly shepherds to the manger to witness the Savior’s birth?
John MacArthur answers those questions, and more, in his study of The Promise of Christmas airing on “Grace to You,” beginning next Monday (12/11). Be sure to encourage your audience to tune in for these timely messages that will take them on a journey back to that first Christmas in Bethlehem. It’s a trip that’ll transform their thoughts and days leading up to December 25. Listeners will also want to hear John’s opening comments on the first day about what the nativity scene means to him.
There’s more wonderful programming from Grace to You this month (be sure to download the Program Tool Kit here) including the classic Christmas Special, One Perfect Life with John MacArthur (2 specials/25:00 each or combined for one 50:00 special). You’ll find more on the special here or email me for details and FTP information.
On a personal note … as hard as I try, sometimes I find myself getting caught up in the busyness of the holiday season. Does that happen to you, too? I recently read this piece by John that challenged me to re-prioritize my time and thinking. Perhaps, the article will encourage you to rethink your approach to this holiday, too. I realized I’ve missed many Christmases in the past, but this year I’m making sure I don’t.
Blessings to you and your family as you celebrate our Savior’s birth.
