“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”  Revelation 2:7

Each of the letters to the seven churches in Revelation includes this exhortation from Jesus.  These letters were not just intended to speak to ancient believers in faraway places.  They have a message for all churches in all times and places.  And they have a message for us!

We are tempted to get so caught up with the daily grind of responsibilities and activities here and now that we lose a sense of the brevity of life and the nearness of Christ’s return.  How should we spend our days knowing that soon we will be standing before the Lord and giving account to Him?

Several years ago, I persevered through a Bible study on the book of Revelation.  I recall it as being one of the hardest, but most fulfilling Bible studies that I’ve taken part in.  There are few books of the Bible that generate as much controversy and debate, but the book of Revelation is actually the source of great hope and practical instruction.

I look forward to following along in a new study with Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth as she begins a teaching series on Revelation on the daily “Revive Our Hearts” broadcast.

Nancy says . . .

We need to be prepared to know how to bow the knee to Christ alone when the world says other lords are in charge.  So Revelation is a very relevant book for us in the twenty-first century.  This book is a challenge to swim upstream, to hold on, and to hold fast to that which you have been given in the gospel and in Christ.

I hope that you and your listeners will join with Nancy in learning how to incorporate this book into your daily life.
