“What’s in your wallet?” “Don’t leave home without it.” When you read those phrases, I’ll bet you knew exactly which products those phrases referenced. Those two very recognizable slogans, used by Capital One and American Express, were crafted to remind us to make sure we’re using the “best” credit card every time we leave the house.

But what really needs to be in your wallet? On a recent Share Life Today, John Sorensen gave the answer: a gospel booklet or tract! Many people want to share their faith but don’t because they feel socially awkward, or they don’t want to be rejected.  Giving someone a tract is a way to share the gospel quickly, without having to engage in a long conversation. Sorensen says, “You can start with a simple sentence or a well-placed question and then leave behind a gospel tract (for) the restaurant server, the store clerk, the person who just cut your hair. Really, anybody is a potential recipient. Here’s how to open the door: “I know that you don’t have time to talk right now, so I’d like to leave this booklet with you. The message in it profoundly changed my life.”

More likely than not, many people will accept your offer.  Of course, you can’t offer what you don’t have with you.  So if you’d like to receive some free tracts from Share Life Today for your station’s lobby, Evangelism Explosion will be glad to send you some of their gospel tracts free of charge!
