The National Day of Prayer (NDOP) is this Thursday – here’s a message from NDOP Chairperson, Anne Graham Lotz about her role:
“For the past several years, God has burdened my heart with His message to call His people to repentance, revival, and a recommitment to serious prayer.
Now I’m on tiptoe in my spirit, filled with expectancy to see what God will do. In a unique way, I will do my best to combine prayer and the proclamation of God’s Word in what I pray will be a powerful and effective movement of God’s Spirit.
Join me in prayer on behalf of America on May 4th. And, invite others to join us.”
And, here are 5 things for you to know about the NDOP:
- The theme this year for the National Day of Prayer is For Your Great Name’s Sake! Hear Us …Forgive Us …Heal Us! The theme is inspired by Daniel 9:19.
- The NDOP Task Force has made :30 and :60 PSAs voiced by Anne available for station airing.
- You’re invited to also download and share the NDOP video featuring Anne.
- A big change this year is that the NDOP Washington DC Observance will be moving to an evening event – from 7:30 to 9 pm ET. Viewers can tune in by live stream on the NDOP website.
