Well, today’s a big day as we observe the swearing-in ceremony of our next President. And, as Jim Garlow acknowledges on “The Garlow Perspective” program for today, January 20th, there’s no question that we have some deeply-rooted issues to face as a nation!
Jim reminds us that as followers of Christ, we have a powerful option—PRAYER!
He believes this so strongly that he is actually in Washington DC this week for various prayer events leading up to the Inauguration.
Jim states,
“I have a deep confidence in God that He can touch this wounded land and bring healing. How will He do that is the question. And the answer? Through prayer. Serious prayer! We need God’s touch on our country and on the world!”
He reminds us of Paul’s instructions in 1 Timothy 2:1 that “requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” And too often we leave out verse 3: “This is good, and pleases God our Savior.”
We hope that your listeners are encouraged by the challenging, yet inspirational messages that Jim gives on his daily broadcast. Please let us know if there is anything more we can provide as you seek to minister to your community.
Praying with you!
