A few weeks ago we were honored to welcome John Sorensen, president of Evangelism Explosion and the voice of Share Life Today to our SoCal offices, and he shared a powerful message about God’s holiness with the staff during our weekly devotions.
John mentioned that when we recently asked all of our featured speakers to share with us their 10 favorite Christian books to include in upcoming issues of Update magazine, he realized that some of the most transformative Christian books he’s ever read dealt with the topic of holiness.
John began his message by saying that we don’t have to look around this increasingly secular culture to realize that holiness is in short supply. In reality, though, holiness has always been rare, because we are a sinful people. He then continued with a powerful message about God’s holiness and the believer’s road to holiness through the process of sanctification.
Salvation occurs when a sinner realizes that his sins have offended a holy God and he trusts Christ’s atoning work on the cross for salvation. From that point on and through the power of the Holy Spirit, a believer departs on a lifelong journey to be conformed to Christ’s likeness through an active pursuit of His holiness.
John’s love for Christ and his heart for ministry are evident in the message he brought to the Ambassador team, and they are also on display each day during his daily 1-min feature,Share Life Today. We are truly honored to be partnering with Evangelism Explosion to spread the gospel through radio.
