This past weekend, my church celebrated 40 years of ministry. Wow. I’ve been a member for about 20 of those years and while I can’t always say that our experience has been easy, I will testify that being a part of a church body has been a true blessing. As we marked this milestone, I became overwhelmed with emotion as I realized that my life—and my family—would not be the same without the positive influence and the relationships formed through my church.
Like me, you’ve probably wondered why our commitment to the church is so important to our faith, or even heard people say, “I believe in God, but not in the church.” What do you think?
