At some point during a Christian’s journey, questions like “Did I choose God or did He choose me?” and “Can I lose my salvation?” can be all-consuming and potentially hinder spiritual growth … or, it can launch a person into becoming a student of the Bible, in search of the answers.
Maybe you have some listeners asking these questions. John MacArthur says that in order to provide them the appropriate answers, one needs to first understand the doctrine of the sovereignty of God. He believes it’s a crucial truth that’s often misunderstood, but vital to a sound, biblical understanding of the gospel.
With that in mind, here’s a look at John’s upcoming study titled, The Doctrines of Grace–starting on “Grace to You” September 30. Throughout this three-week series, John will clearly explain these facets of God’s sovereignty:
- Man’s depravity
- God’s election
- Christ’s atonement
- God’s effectual call to salvation
- Perseverance of the saints
Be sure your listeners tune in for one of John’s most popular (and often-debated) studies of his 50 year ministry.
Then later this month, the ministry presents another popular study titled, The Master’s Men (airing 10/21-11/8). In it, John takes an in-depth look at Christ’s disciples–the 12 ordinary men who changed the world. We’ll learn how Christ turned their weaknesses into strengths and, how He can do the same for your listeners, too.
In a few weeks Grace to You will be hosting the Truth Matters Conference at John MacArthur’s church in Sun Valley, California. The theme of this year’s conference is The Sufficiency of Scripture featuring John, Voddie Baucham, astronaut Colonel Jeffrey Williams, and others. If you’re not one of the more than 3,000 attending this conference, you can learn more about it at www.gty.org/conference, including how to live stream the conference October 16-18.
